How many Carbs and Calories?

Is Protein Refresher as good as a whey protein isolate?

In terms of protein quality and how your body uses it, Acidify is just as effective as regular whey isolate. The main difference comes from extra filtration steps — that’s what gives Acidify its light texture, clear look, and refreshing taste compared to a typical creamy whey shake.

How to minimize foam when mixing the product?

Simply wait 45-60 sec. It's totally normal!

Why does Acidify Protein foams and not Regular Whey Protein Shakes?

Simply put, there is no lecithin in the clear Whey Protein Isolate, which is used to help create a harmonious bond between water and the protein allowing it to more easily disperse in the liquid. This in turn can result in more foam. It’s important to note that the lack or lecithin also helps to get the “clear” in clear protein and helps to achieve the more refreshing mouth feel.

Please note: the anti-foam we use doesn’t stop the foam from forming — it just helps it go away faster after mixing.

Do you absolutely need to serve it with ice?

Not necessarily — but it's highly recommended! The taste is much more refreshing and enjoyable when served cold.

How much water should I mix it with?

We recommend mixing it with 300–400 ml of cold water for the best taste and texture.

Can I still take it if I'm trying to lose weight?

Yes, absolutely. Whey protein isolate is very low in sugar, fat, and calories, making it a great option to support your weight loss goals. It can also reduce cravings, help maintain lean muscle, and support recovery after workouts — all without adding unnecessary calories.

Can I use Protein Refresher in recipes?

Yes, absolutely! We recommend mixing it with Greek yogurt or using it in Ninja Creami recipes like gelato, ice cream, smoothies, and more.

Does it contain lactose? If I’m intolerant, can I still take it?

As a general rule, one serving of Refreshers Protein contains less than 2% lactose. If you’ve been diagnosed with lactose intolerance, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before consuming.

Where is the protein sourced from?

Our protein is imported from Europe and then processed at our facility in Montreal, Canada.
